Lee Chong Wei commemorative coin?

I think one Malaysia are glued in front of their television last night watching Datuk Lee Chong Wei game with his arch nemesis, Lin Dan for London Olympic 2012 gold medal. He lost with a brave fight 21-15, 10-21, 19-21 in 79 minutes. This is the second time Chong Wei has lost to Lin Dan in the clash for the Olympics gold medal. In the men’s singles final in the 2008 Beijing Games, Chong Wei lost 12-21, 8-21 to the Chinese ace. When the fight last night is over, Lee Chong Wei tweet to say sorry about his second lost in the Olympic final. He knew every Malaysian expect him to deliver Malaysia first ever Olympic gold medal. For me, he is still a national hero even with a second time defeat in Olympic final.

Lee Chong Wei coin

Last night, there is a little discussion about Datuk Lee Chong Wei achievement in Facebook. A friend blogger, Si mistri said if he is a BNM Governor, he will order Bank Negara Malaysia to mint a double set of Silver Commemorative coins to commemorate Chong Wei double silver achievement in London 2012 and Beijing 2008 Olympics. For me, BNM should mint a RM100 .999 commemorative gold coin to celebrate Datuk Lee Chong Wei as Malaysia national hero in Badminton. Even he don't won any gold medal in Olympics, he has been making Malaysian proud with his determination and high spirit in this sport. For me, that is already a gold achievement especially when foreigner look at him as a very humble guy compare to Lin Dan with a very arrogant character.

Last night, comparing him to the Olympics 2012 Badminton Singles Winner, Lin Dan, ESPN commentator had this to say of him:
"Lee Chong Wei is such a great guy, but Lin Dan is a bit arrogant. Skills win you medals, but attitude wins hearts."

“If we dare to win, we should also dare to lose.”
You didn't let us down Datuk Lee Chong Wei. You did us proud. You are a Champion!

Wish BNM will consider a commemorative coins for our badminton hero.
